Abstract
Electron spin resonance (ESR) experiments with 15 GHz microwave have been performed on α-(BEDT-TTF)2KHg(XCN)4 (X = S, Se) single crystals at various different temperatures down to 1.5 K. A new resonance line is observed below the density wave transition temperature of 8 K for the X = S salt. No anomaly is observed for the X = Se salt which does not undergo the density wave transition. The results of the temperature and angular dependencies of the resonance lines suggest that the spin density wave state is likely to occur for the X = S salt.
