Abstract
Drivers commonly depend on information obtained from road signs and traffic signals for guidance. Nobel assistance systems have been taking place in recent years. In the effort to develop more effective safety measures, it is important to evaluate these measures objectively. A driving simulator named as mixed-reality traffic experiment space has been developed and can produce a mixed reality view with real images of front view. In this study, we evaluate the effectiveness of road signs and traffic signals on driving safety by using the driving simulator, and analyze how the differences in traffic environment influence driving behavior.
