Abstract

Dependence of light-induced drift (LID) on the laser wavelength has been studied for lithium vapor. Fluorescence intensity variation for 7Li atoms clearly indicated unique nonlinear dependence on the laser power at the different wavelengths of the laser beam, indicating the LID effect of 7Li. We also estimated the drift velocity values from the fluorescence intensity variation presently measured and fair agreement with drift velocity was found.
