Abstract

In our laboratory, the method of nondestructive crack detection on the distribution line by measuring the magnetic field around the distribution line has been proposed. In this paper, we examined the detecting crack system for the distribution line that consists of seven conductive wires. As the result, the optimum combination of sensors to calculate estimated center points was confirmed. It was also shown that the method is resistant to shift of position between the sensor and the distribution line and that it may be possible to detect the crack automatically.
