Abstract

Tohoku University and Syracuse University have been collaborating on the concept of Advanced Fluid Information toward integrating experimental and numerical fluid information and on its implementation. This paper discusses recent collaborations where the PIV velocity field has been integrated into numerical simulations. Genesis of the project as well as other activities at the Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University and another joint research between Syracuse University and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency are introduced.
