Abstract

We experimentally and numerically compared probabilistically-shaped 4096 QAM with uniformly-shaped 1024 QAM with a spectral efficiency of 15.3 bit/s/Hz after an all-Raman 160 km transmission. The 1.4-dB power margin was improved by constellation shaping.
