Abstract

In order to simulate eddy currents induced in the first wall of a fusion reactor during plasma disruption. we carried out (1)a scale model experiment of a tokamak first wall with several ports and (2)a numerical analysis based on the T -method developed by the authors in recent years. To measure the eddy current. a new type of probe is developed and named a “split ring type of probe”, Numerical results almost agree with the experimental ones. which assures the capability of the code and the measurement method.
