Abstract

The mechanical properties of calcium phosphate paste (CPP) was examined after setting in the aqueous solution and its apatite-forming ability in a simulated body fluid (SBF). The compressive strength of the pastes with different acetyl cellulose contents were shown after soaking in Tris-NaCl buffer solution for 7 days. It was found that compressive strength increased with increase in a proportion of cellulose acetate in ethyl lactate. The pastes were found to possess bone-bonding ability.
