N2 - To realize flexible LCDs, high dimensional stability for temperature is required for plastic substrates. Using polyimide substrates formed by the coat-debond method, we have developed flexible LC devices with etched post spacers. As a result, we successfully achieved flexible LCDs that have high flexibility without degradation of optical characteristics.
