N2 - Local hyperthermia is one of the effective therapies for cancer. Utilizing a radio-frequency electrode, which is inserted into the tumor percutaneously, thermal ablation of nonresectable carcinoma has been reported (Rossi et al., 2000). According to the report, temperature of the electrode tip would be around 90°C. In this method, however, is difficult to position the electrode in the center of the tumor with high accuracy. In Ishiyama et al. (2001), a magnetic micro-machine, which can move in bovine tissue, has been investigated. Connecting to the wireless heating device using magnetic material, a magnetic micro-machine with heating function is fabricated. The results of the test in an agar as a phantom are reported.
