Abstract

Irradiation of Cp*(CO)3WMe in the presence of N,N-dimethyl-2-(dimethylsilyl)aniline led to the intermediate formation of Cp*(CO)2W{κ2(Si,N)-Me2 N(o-C6H4SiMe2)} (3), which was converted to the base-stabilized silylene complex Cp*(CO)2W{κ2 (Si,C)-SiMe2-NMe2(o-C6H4)} (2) through 1,2-migration of the aryl group.
