Abstract

A review covers the pyrolysis of waste plastics as a treatment method classed as feedstock recycling; the dehydrochlorination and dechlorination of polyvinylchloride (PVC); recent studies into the pyrolysis of major plastics e.g. polyethylene polypropylene and polystyrene; and the dry and wet treatment of PVC as well as the catalytic pyrolysis of poly(ethylene terephthalate) using Ca-based catalysts.
