Abstract

Discussed is a femtosecond fluorescence study on ultrafast reaction dynamics of photoactive proteins. Focus is on the effects of modification of protein environments and temperature change on the fluorescence dynamics of photoactive yellow protein (PYP), and on the dynamics and mechanisms of ultrafast fluorescence quenching of flavin chromophores in protein nanospace (PNS).
