Abstract

We succeeded in growing a high-quality single crystal of UIn3 by the self-flux method and measured the electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, specific heat and de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) oscillation. We confirmed the Néel temperature at TN = 88 K from both the electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. We observed many dHvA branches. The Fermi surfaces are found to consist of closed Fermi surfaces and a multiply-connected Fermi surface. The cyclotron mass is relatively large, ranging from 9.8 to 33m0.
