Ferromagnetic amorphous metal microcapsules for intratissue hyperthermia and slow release of anti-cancer agents

Abstract

We have developed an anti-cancer-agentcontaining capsule which has a core made of thermosensitive ferromagnetic amorphous particles. In an impressed magnetic field, the capsule was experimentally shown to regulate its own temperature according to the amorphous Curie point, to generate sufficient heat for intratissue hyperthermia, and to release the anti-cancer agent slowly.
