Abstract

(Figure Presented) Bond formation between single Pt atoms and surface thiol groups is the result of the reduction of a Pt precursor in the presence of surface-thiolated carbon nanotubes. By setting the temperature of the following heat treatment, finely size-controlled and monodispersed Pt clusters were obtained from the dispersed single atoms (see picture).
