Abstract
Finely tunable wavelength conversion of high bit-rate signals is analyzed numerically and demonstrated experimentally - to a wavelength range from 1530 to 1560 nm - by using a superstructure-grating distributed Bragg reflector laser. Transmission of a 10 Gb/s converted signals over a 100 km-long optical fiber is also demonstrated using a dispersion-shifted optical fiber.
