Abstract

The Kamioka Liquid Scintillator Anti-Neutrino Detector (KamLAND) was established with the aim of searching for the oscillation of ̄νe's emitted from distant power reactors. Analysis of 162 ton·yr (145.1 d) of the reactor ̄νe data revealed that KamLAND demonstrated reactor ̄νe disappearance at long baselines and high confidence level for the first time.
