Abstract

We developed a flexible ferroelectric liquid crystal device containing polymer walls and networks between plastic film substrates. The mechanical stability of the device was enhanced by the use of polymer walls. The fabricated device placed between crossed polarizers exhibited light modulation even when the device was bent.
