Abstract

In the present paper, a one-layer model analogous to Prandtl's mixing length theory is used for the eddy viscosity, and the wave-current friction coefficient is obtained theoretically. An assumption of small motion leads to a linear equation which can be decomposed into two equations, one for waves and another for current, still retaining the effect of interaction between them in the expression of the eddy viscosity.
