Friedel oscillation in charge profile and position dependent screening around a superconducting vortex core

Abstract

The charge profile around a vortex in charged superconductors was microscopically calculated. For a small value of kFξ the vortex is intrinsically charged up due to the density depletion mechanism. The Friedel oscillation appears in the charge profile in the region near the vortex core.
