Fused type fan-out device for multi-core fiber based on bundled structure

Abstract

A fused type fan-out device for 7-core fiber was newly developed with no taper structure. A highly accurate core arrangement can be easily achieved. Consequently, an average splice loss of only 0.31 dB was obtained.
