Abstract

Matrix presented In the presence of GaCl3, silyl enol ethers derived from α-substituted β-ketoesters or malonates are ethenylated at the α-carbon atom with trimethylsilylethyne in high yields. Ethenylmalonates can also be synthesized by this method.
