Abstract
We examine the expected number of giant luminous arcs (GLAs) for Le Fèvre et al. arc survey sample using two spherically symmetric lens models in which free parameters are determined from ROSAT/HRI X-ray data. We conclude that spherically symmetric models cannot reproduce the observed number of giant luminous arcs in the sample.
