Abstract

We present Kebitas, a framework for building web-based Games With A Purpose and Kebitas Heroes a Kebitas-based game to gather common sense knowledge. Games With A Purpose involves two tasks: pure game task and human computation task. We propose to design independent interfaces for each of them and make one dependent of the other. Kebitas Heroes involves levering up characters, battles and conquer territories as pure game task. The characters of the game need getting stronger, they do so dependent on the quality of the commonsense knowledge provided by the player. We also propose using a weighted voting mechanism for input validation and use this same mechanism for evaluating computer algorithms trying to solve the computation task.
