Abstract

Global variations of sonic boom overpressure with the realistic atmospheric gradients was discussed. The atmosphericgradients were estimated by upper-air observational radiosonde data and simple N-wave were extrapolated through all seasonal atmospheric gradients without winds arround the world. Results demonstrated the sonic boom overpressure varieswith season and geographic posistion compared to that of standardatmospheric condition. the results also showed the tendencies of the global variation in overpressure.
