Abstract

The I-V characteristics and grain boundary structures of Pr and Co doped boundaries were investigated using ZnO bicrystals. As such, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations and TEM-EDS analysis revealed that atomically joined boundaries were predominantly fabricated and Pr6O11 existed partially at all the boundaries. Although existence of Pr6O11 indicates that Pr was saturated at all boundaries, no Pr was detected on the Σ1 boundary.
