Ground-state properties of bilayer ν = 2 quantum Hall states

We construct a Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) Hamiltonian Haldane-sphere and study excitation spectra and ground-state properties in bilayer ν = 2 QH systems. It is found that the HFB approximation can systematically give SU(2) symmetrical excitation spectra spectra well agree with those from exact diagonalization calculations in large tunneling-energy region.
