Abstract

Tb 3Sc 2Al 3O 12 (TSAG) single crystals were grown by the micro-pulling down method, and the structure of TSAG was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. This crystal has been investigated as a new material for optical isolators. The Verdet constant was measured for samples with different compositions and the absorption spectra in the range from 200 to 1000nm are presented.
