N2 - Transparent ceramic Yb-doped Lu2O3 were evaluate on scintillation properties. In X-ray excited radioluminescence, they exhibited Yb3+ charge transfer luminescence around 350 nm. Scintillation decay time profiles were investigated and they showed ultrafast scintillation of around ∼ 1ns. Light yields under 137Cs 662 keV γ-ray excitation were around 500 ph/MeV.
