Abstract

We have performed high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) of Co-, Ni-, and Zn-substituted Bi2Sr2CaCu 2O8+δ (Bi2212) to study the impurity effect on the electronic structure. In all compounds, we observed a remarkable suppression of the intensity of coherent peak around (π, 0) point at the superconducting state, consistent with the decrease in the superfluid density. By quantitatively analyzing ARPES lineshape, we found that the weight of the coherent peak well scales with Tc among substituted and unsubstituted Bi-family high-Tc superconductors exept for Zn-substituted Bi2212.
