Abstract

The effect of a nitrogen addition was studied at 873-1373 K. TiC-Ni and TiC//0//. //7N//0//. //3-Ni alloys with 14-37%Ni and low and high carbon were used. TiCN alloys showed superior resistance to oxidation independent of oxidizing conditions and alloy composition.
