Abstract

Low distortion partially corrugated waveguide laser diodes (PC-LDs) for broadband optical analog CATV system have been developed. Less than -60 dBc of CSO level as well as less than -65 dBc of CTB level was obtained with excellent uniformity for an 80 channel CATV system. Moreover, as low as -58 dBc of CSO level and -68 dBc of CTB level was obtained under 1 GHz bandwidth for a 150 channel analog CATV system.
