Abstract
The original version of the full-range equation to compute frictional resistance under wave-current combined motion by Tanaka and Thu (1994a) is tested against the latest experimental data for a three-dimensional wave-current boundary layer. A few modifications have been proposed to improve the predictive ability of the full-range equation in the transition region. The overall comparison shows satisfactory results. The prediction for the magnitude of maximum bottom shear stress and the mean shear stress is fairly improved.
