Abstract

ZrO2-4 mol%Y2O3 coating layers deposited on zirconia substrates are found to contain nano-sized pores as well as micron-sized pores. The total porosity and numbers of nano pores of the coating layers increased with increasing substrate rotation speed during deposition. The thermal conductivities and thermal diffusivities of the coating layers decreased with increasing substrate rotation speed during deposition.
