Abstract

The electric characteristic of stress corrosion crack (SCC) in eddy current testing (ECT) through analyzing experimental and simulated signals was discussed. Inspection of SCC firstly was carried out. In the following simulation SCC was modeled based on the results of destructive testing. The results show that it is more appropriate to focus on equivalent resistance of SCC in the eddy current simulation. Furthermore considering the distribution of conductivity enables the better reconstruction of SCC.
