Abstract

The interaction of laser-induced cavitation bubbles with composite surfaces was studied. The dynamic properties were measured by modal analysis to understand the interaction between a cavitation bubble and a composite surface. The results showed that for a light composite surface with deformable silicon rubber, bubble splitting occurred for γ<1.1.
