Abstract

Magnetoconductance characteristics are measured for multiple parallel ballistic point contacts placed within the electron mean free path. A large conductance decrease is observed for such structures in a low magnetic field, where electron motion completes ballistic circulating through pairs of contacts. Activation of these circulating channels depopulates the current-carrying channels in multiple parallel ballistic point contacts. Conductance oscillations are also observed due to the interference effect in the circulating channels.
