Abstract
The positively charged fine particles of micron size were analyzed in cross-field sheath between magnetized double plasmas. The charges on particles became positive in sheath as ion current from lower high-potential plasma surpassed electron current across magnetic field from upper low-potential plasma. The variation of particle levitation positions was described by change of electron current which was absorbed by particles under constant ion current. The application of double plasmas and horizontal magnetic field proved to be important technique for production of upward directed electric field which decreased in vertical position.
