Abstract

Mesogenic dimeric molecules containing oxyethylene spacers complexed with lithium sodium, potassium, magnesium, and scandium triflates were prepared. The effects of the size and the charge number of the metals on the mesomorphic behavior and ionic conductivities were determined for these new ion-transporting materials.
