Abstract

We study the evolution of low-metallicity star-forming clouds and discuss their fragmentation mass scales. From the structure of the envelope at the time of protostar formation, we derive the protostellar accretion rate and calculate the evolution of protostars in the main accretion phase. Finally, we evaluate the upper limit on the stellar mass set by stellar feedback.
