Abstract
The concentration dependence of the order-disorder phase transformation temperature from the L2 1 to the B2 phase (T t L21/B2) and magnetic properties of Co 2Fe(Ga 1-xSi x) and Co 2Fe(Al 1-ySi y) Heusler alloys were investigated. In the phase diagrams, a crossover of the Curie temperature (T C) and T t L21/B2 was confirmed at around y 0.45 in Co 2Fe(Al 1-ySi y), whereas the T C and T t L21/B2 monotonically changed with x in Co 2Fe (Ga 1-xSi x). The slopes of the linear concentration dependence of T t L21/B2 for Co 2Fe(Al 1-ySi y) drastically changed at about y 0.45, suggesting that the chemical interchange energy between Fe and Al in Co 2FeAl alloy is affected by the magnetic ordering.
