Abstract

A miniaturized thin film inductor whose magnetic core is wound around the conductor is proposed. The dimensions of the inductors are 2.3mmx2.3mm, and these inductors are used at a frequency range above 100MHz. The conductor is patterned on a plane keeping contact resistance is low. The magnetic core is designed for keeping a closed magnetic path even in the case of disconnection on the magnetic core. For diminishing the copper loss, a pattern for inductors which shortens the length of the conductor is discussed.
