Abstract

The temperature dependence of magnetization was measured at temperatures up to 870 K for four kinds of Ni-Bi samples, prepared by arc melting in He gas. Peculiar thermal hystereses of magnetization were observed for the Ni53Bi47 and Ni50Bi50 samples, where the magnetic transitions on heating and cooling appear at different temperatures. The results are discussed using the SEM images and X-ray diffraction patterns.
