Abstract
Summary form only given. To study magnetic relaxation mechanisms, disaccommodation (DA) in Fe//1 //0 //0- //x B//x and Co//1 //0 //0- //x B//x alloys was measured for temperatures from -196 degree C to the Curie temperature. The DA was found to be maximum at x equals 15 and minimum at x equals 20 in Fe-B alloys, and to go through a broad maximum near x equals 20 in Co-B alloys. Similar composition dependences at different temperatures indicated that the DA mechanism is the same for all temperatures. DA vs. temperature curves for Fe//8 //5 B//1 //5 alloy annealed at different temperatures showed behavior thought to correspond to a change in the order parameter for binary alloys calculated by A. V. D. Beukel et al. (1983).
