Abstract

We report on the magnetization and high-frequency EMR studies of lithium manganese spinel LiMn2O4 powder samples obtained by the sol-gel method with calcinations at several temperature ranges. The results indicate that the low temperature magnetization and EMR spectra vary strongly between samples. Analysis of the experimental data enables a deeper characterization of the samples. It appears that a small amount of the impurity phase Li2MnO3 exists in the samples obtained by calcinations at 9000C
