Abstract

Magnetization reversal of various kinds of perpendicular recording media was characterized using a pulse magnetometer (T. Shimatsu et al, Digests of PMRC 2000, p. 141, 2000), and discussed relating to media noise performance. Co(B)/Pd superlattice media, CoTb(Pr)/CoCr(Ta,Pt) composite media (T. Shimatsu et al, Digests of MMM Conf., FB-06, 2001; H. Uwazumi, ibid., FB-05, 2001) and CoCr(Ta, Pt, B) media were subjected to the study.
