Abstract
We report an experimental investigation of the magnetization for the ternary compound of composition Er3 Co2 Ge4 in detail. Er3 Co2 Ge4 shows the antiferromagnetic (AF) peak at 10 K and the spin-freezing behavior at 4 K indicating that the compound is not a simple AF system. From the magnetization, the experimental magnetocaloric values for the materials have been discussed.
