N2 - Ferromagnetic ordering in UPtAl (TC = 42.5 K, Ms = 1.4 μB) is accompanied by a spontaneous magnetostriction reaching at low temperatures -3×10-4 and 2×10-4 in the basal plane (λa) and along the c-axis (λc), respectively. The volume effect ω-s$/ = 2λa+λc is -4×10-4. Application of external pressure yields reduction of the spontaneous moment at a rate dMs/dp = -0.027 μB/GPa, while the Curie temperature increases, dTC/dp = 2.5 K/GPa.
