Abstract

Magnetooptical materials enable nonreciprocal light propagation which is essential for the operation of isolators and circulators in optical systems. The growth of magnetooptical garnets with Ce and Bi substitution as well as magnetooptically active perovskites by pulsed laser deposition, and application to a monolithically integrated racetrack isolator, are described.
